Prolific Shoplifters Arrested

The Boots store in Muswell Hill N10 has for many weeks been subject to a significant amount of Shoplifting, often carried out by a small number of persistent repeat offenders.

This week Wood Green Town Centre Team (TCT) arrested two prolific offenders known to Police who were charged and remanded for multiple Shoplifting Thefts carried out over several weeks, as well as other outstanding offences.

Both offenders are expected to receive custodial sentences in addition to being issued with a Community Banning Order (CBO) as a measure to help curtail future offending.

The TCT worked in conjunction with both Local Investigation and Muswell Hill Safer Neighbourhood officers to tirelessly collate all the offences and items stolen in order to build a strong case to take to court.

This very positive outcome against two prolific offenders is the direct result of the collaborative working between the investigative and neighbourhood Policing teams based on Haringey and has gone some way to addressing what has been persistent issue often cited as a concern by residents.
